Fargesia Bamboo

Fargesia bamboo is evergreen and grows best in dappled shade in moist fertile soils making it ideal for semi woodland planting. Fargesia bamboos are clumping and generally well behaved well suited for hedging and screening. Their canes are much thinner denser and much more whip like than other bamboos. They are fine leaved and canes range in colour from Jade to burgundy terracotta and purple Fargesia are forest floor plants good for semi-shade and shade positions They originate from high altitudes in China and the Himalayas so Fargesia is well suited to the climate in the UK and is extremely hardy and reliable.
