M12 - Miscanthus Gracillimus

Miscanthus sinensis Gracillimus. Maidens Hair. Lovely. One of the oldest and best know Miscanthus cultivars. A large grass to 1.8 meters tall with a thin leaf blade, giving it a finer texture than the other Miscanthus. Miscanthus Gracillimus has dense upright grey green foliage that forms a vase handsome clump. The plume when it first emerges is burgundy or dark pink. Best of all Miscanthus for dried arrangements. Miscanthus Gracillimusis very useful as a background plant or as a specimen planting. Autumn foliage turns a good orange in cool areas.
