M17 - Miscanthus Malpartus

Miscanthus sinensis Malpartus. This is the Miscanthus by which all others are measured. A very old variety, which blooms in early September lasting through autumn and early winter. Miscanthus Malpartus leaves are wider than those of Graziella but similar in form. Flowers open silver becoming fluffy and white. In autumn, it colours gold often with strong infusions of red amber and orange. Miscanthus Malpartus reaches a height of 2.1 meters and spread 1.5 meters. Will tolerate most soil types prefers moist but well drained, acid, alkaline or neutral and full sun.
