Pseudosasa japonica is medium-size bamboo and Bambusa Metake has narrow culms and large deep chartreuse green leaves up to 50mm in width by a 30 cm long on thin, strong, straight canes. In full sun Bambusa metake makes an attractive tall dense screen or a superb architectural feature. Average height of 5 meters Best in light shade, but adaptable.
