Bamboo Fargesia Rufa A recent introduction from Ganshu. It has a quick growth habit and will tolerate regular thinning and pruning. New culms are buttery yellow with culm sheaths a pale orangy red and shrimp pink the colouration is brighter on plants growing in an alkaline soil the leaves are a bottle green a valuable plant forming a broad clump 1.5m wide and may grow up to 2.5m in temperate climate.
