Pennisetum alopecuroides ’Moudry’ Black fountain grass. Easily grown in average, medium wet to wet soils in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun. Tolerates part shade ’Moudry’ is a warm season grower which typically grows in graceful, spreading clumps to 90cm tall and 85cm wide. It is most noted for its distinctive dark purple flower spikes. Features narrow, medium to deep green leaves (to 15mm wide) in summer, changing to golden yellow in autumn and fading to beige in late fall. Foliage remains attractive throughout the winter
